Michele Davis

Michele’s work has focused on the intersection of policy and markets, leading domestic and international public affairs, reputation rebuilding and crisis communications initiatives across multiple sectors, including financial services, energy and manufacturing.

Engagements and prior roles include:

  • Led reputation rebuild for a large global financial institution
  • Advised CEO and senior executives of global oil company on public affairs and crisis communications strategy as company grappled with historic maritime oil spill
  • Developed and executed public affairs strategy for US manufacturing company concerned about unfair competition from imports
  • Served as communications lead and a key advisor to Secretary Paulson at the Treasury Department during the 2008 financial crisis.

Prior to joining the firm, Michele was Global Head of Corporate Relations and a member of the Management Committee at Morgan Stanley, where she oversaw communications, digital engagement, and philanthropy and advised senior leaders on strategic communications and managing reputational risk. She previously co-headed the DC office of the Brunswick Group. Michele served in senior communications roles in the George W. Bush Administration as Assistant Secretary and Director of Policy Planning at the Treasury Department from 2006-2009 and Deputy Assistant to the President responsible for communications at the National Security Council from 2005-2006.
