Began career in NYS politics before joining Pfizer. Led teams in the areas of government relations, public affairs, global policy and Human Resources serving as the company's first ever Chief Diversity Officer. Career milestone was serving as Corporate Affairs lead to Albert Bourla as Vice President Corporate Affairs for their $34 billion innovative business.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Wife, mother, sister and friend all while leading the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization in pursuit of justice, equity and equality.

Karen Boykin-Towns is an accomplished strategic communications executive and advisor with deep experience working in complex business and government environments across a range of issues including public affairs, education, healthcare, diversity, equity and inclusion, crises and environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters. As Senior Advisor at FGS Global she advises clients on high profile matters developing strategies for crisis and reputation management.

During a 22 year career with Pfizer she held leadership roles in government relations, public affairs, global policy and Human Resources, including having served as Vice President Corporate Affairs for the company's $34 billion innovative medicines business, Pfizer's first ever Chief Diversity Officer and a member of the company's Senior Leadership Committee. She was also previously Legislative Director and Chief of Staff to New York State Senator David Paterson who later became the 55th Governor of New York.

Karen is Vice Chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors, as well as an independent director of iFIT Health & Fitness Inc. She also serves on the Visiting Nurse Services Board of Directors and the American Airlines Community Council. Karen was also a past Co-Chair of the Business Council of New York State.

Karen holds an MBA from Baruch College (CUNY) and received a BA from the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
