
John Christiansen

John is co-head of the firm’s West Coast offices and advises a wide range of clients on strategic communications, including M&A transactions, restructurings, investor relations, corporate positioning, crisis situations, proxy contests, data security issues and IPOs, as well as ongoing media relations and investor relations programs.
Engagements include:
- Slack’s $19.5 billion direct listing on the NYSE and $28 billion sale to Salesforce
- Virgin Galactic’s merger and public listing through Social Capital Hedosophia SPAC
- Intel’s defense in a shareholder activist campaign
Prior to joining SVC in 2009, John was head of West Coast Equity Capital Markets for Cowen and Company. Previously, John spent over ten years at Morgan Stanley in Technology Investment Banking and Institutional Equities.
John holds a B.A., magna cum laude, with high honors from Dartmouth College and a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University.
