Amb. Miriam Sapiro

Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in government and the private sector, Miriam focuses on strategic communications with respect to cross-border transactions, regulatory challenges, litigation and governance issues. She helps companies and non-profit organizations navigate high-stakes crises and a range of international and domestic policy developments, including in the technology, manufacturing, retail, financial services and healthcare sectors.

Engagements and prior government experience include:

  • Assisting Qualcomm in its defense against a hostile takeover by Broadcom
  • Advising companies on U.S. trade, investment and other policy developments, including national security reviews under CFIUS
  • Serving as Deputy and Acting U.S. Trade Representative, Special Assistant to the President at the National Security Council, and at the State Department

Miriam is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Lufthansa Group, the Board of Directors of Project HOPE, the Advisory Board of Asia House, the Panel of Conciliators of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes at the World Bank, and the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also a Senior Adviser (Non-resident) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Miriam received a B.A. from Williams College and a J.D. from NYU School of Law, and was a Rotary Fellow at St. Antony’s College, Oxford University.
