DENISE DESCHENES
Denise DesChenes is a Managing Director. Ms. DesChenes has provided communications counsel in a variety of complex situations, including crises, mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, shareholder activism, regulatory investigations and bankruptcies. She has also advised on a number of long-term corporate positioning programs.
Prior to joining the firm in 2000, Ms. DesChenes was a Senior Managing Director in Hill and Knowlton’s Corporate Practice and Director of Crisis Communications, New York, where she specialized in crisis communications, issues management, litigation support and corporate positioning. Prior to that, she was Vice President at Boston-based Clarke & Company, specializing in crisis communications and public affairs. Previously, Ms. DesChenes worked on Capitol Hill as a Legislative Assistant for former Congressman Tom Andrews. She began her career as Legislative Aide to the Maine State Senate Majority Leader.
Ms. DesChenes graduated cum laude with an A.B. degree in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College, where she was named a James Bowdoin Scholar.
